Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
What is it?
Carpal tunnel syndrome is a result of pressure on the median nerve as it crosses through the carpal tunnel, which is located at the front of the wrist. At ALH, the large majority of individuals with carpal tunnel syndrome have acquired the problem as a result of repetitive activities involving the hand and wrist. Most people blame long hours at their computers typing and using the keyboard.
What does it feel like?
If you believe you have carpal tunnel syndrome, you might experience pain, numbness, tingling, and weakness of the thumb side of your hand.
