I am 63 years old... my doctor sent me for a C.T. scan of Lumbar Spine. The results showed degenerative disc disease, paracentral disc bulges, vacuum disc phenomena and anterior osteopyte formation. The answer for this chronic pain was to control the pain with medication. I was no longer able to do house work, volunteer at the local hospital and had difficulty playing my piano… It broke my heart! I decided to give laser treatments a try - I felt no discomfort during the treatment. After thirteen treatments I have gotten back control of my life without chronic pain medication. Since returning home I attend aqua fitness at the local YMCA three times a week, attending to my duties as a volunteer, playing my piano at home and at our local church and I assist my husband with house work... It’s turning my life around. I feel human again!

HOW LONG DOES A TREATMENT TAKE?
Treatments are typically 45-60 minutes in duration depending on the condition treated.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?
The number of treatments will vary depending on your situation and response to therapy. In a recent clinical report summarizing over 1000 patients treated with the BioFlex Professional LILT system, patients averaged fewer than 10 treatments to completely resolve their condition.
HOW MUCH DOES ONE CHARGE FOR TREATMENT?
At Avalon Laser Health, we charge $55 per half hour of treatment, $75 for 45 minutes of treatment and $100 for 60 minutes for each BioFlex Professional LILT unit involved in the treatment.
WILL MY INSURANCE PAY FOR MY TREATMENTS?
Laser therapy is a therapeutic modality used by health professionals to treat pain. It is often covered as part of the treatment plan prescribed by your health professional. In our clinic, laser therapy may be prescribed by physiotherapy and acupuncture professionals.
WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE BIOFLEX LASER?
BioFlex laser therapy is non-toxic and non-invasive, and has no known side-effects.
HOW DO I PREPARE FOR A LASER ASSESSMENT?
Discuss your condition with your physician. Bring any results of medical testing that provide information about your condition (X-ray, MRI, blood tests, etc.). Prepare a list of treatment options you have tried. Laser therapy is often covered by your insurance under the treatment plan provided by physiotherapy, massage therapy and acupuncture. Check with your insurer to confirm your coverage and bring a referral if needed.
