As spring approaches avid golfers start dreaming of once again heading out to the golf course. For some the memory is of that nagging elbow pain that comes after a long game. Epicondylitis is a condition where the outer or the inner part of the elbow becomes tender and is often inflamed. When pain is on the inside aspect it is commonly called Golfer’s Elbow. Common names for the outer elbow pain are Tennis Elbow, Archer’s Elbow of Shooter’s Elbow. Pain often radiates into the forearm and is aggravated by gripping, lifting and extending the arm. Although it might suggest that this is only a sporting injury, about half of the cases of epicondylitis are caused by direct injury or pulling force to the elbow joint.
At Avalon Laser Health we have had great success in treating this condition. After an assessment with one of our practitioners, treatment with laser usually takes 30 minutes with 10 treatments being the average, depending on whether your condition is acute or chronic.
Low Intensity Laser therapy is the perfect choice for reducing pain and inflammation and helping you get back into your game.
